Accommodation in Salamanca

To help you find and book accommodation we charge a one time fee of 90Eur.

This is a service offered independent of the programs and we cannot be held responsable for any accommodation service that might not meet the needs of the students. We therefore encourage students to find accomodation on their own.

In our accommodation service we can offer three different alternatives, a room in a shared student flat, a room with a Spanish host family or your own studio apartment.

You will receive full information by email about the accommodation booked about 10 days before your arrival.
This information include, exact address, contact details of the owner and full information about the price, what is included and deposit needed.

Upon your arrival you have to pay the monthly rent and deposit directly to the owner.

Apart from the 90Eur fee charged for finding the accommodation you will also have to pay 100Eur within the full payment which we will pay directly to the owners when making the reservation (the 100Eur will be deducted in the first months rent or the deposit).
In case of the own apartments you will have to pay total amount before your arrival.

If you upon arrival decide to cancel the accommodation you will not be entitled to any refund of the 90Eur paid to find you accommodation and the accomodation deposit (100Eur).

We are not responsable for any problem that might occur during your stayed, it must be dealt with the landlord or landlady.

Shared Student Flats

A shared student flat is the cheapest and most popular form of accommodation. Flats are located all over Salamanca (within max. 20min walk to the university) and normally have a shared kitchen, 1 or 2 bathrooms, a living room with dinning space, TV and sofas and 3-5 bedroom with a small study table, a bed and a wardrobe. Shared flats are not luxury furnished and you should not expect too much of this type of accommodation.

The students living in the shared flat are responsible for the cleaning of the flat, cooking of the meals and washing of clothes and there is in general no supervision.

In a shared student flat you'll be living with other international students.
The price for a room in a shared flat in Salamanca will range from 200-250Eur per month plus costs (approx. 20-30Eur per month).
From October to the end of June student flats are only available for a minimum of 3 and in some cases 6 months (one or two trimesters) but during the summer rooms are also rented on a monthly basis.

Please note that it is strictly forbidden to have any type of party at the accommodation. This would immediately lead to your expulsion from the accommodation and to the total loss of the deposit.

Spanish Host Families

Living with a Spanish family is a good option if you will like learn more about the Spanish habits and way of life and is also an excellent way to learn Spanish quickly as most families will only speak Spanish and you will therefore have to practise all the time.
A Spanish family often consist of elderly people as there are less traditional families (father, mother and children) that rent out rooms for foreign students.
It is also normal that a family host more than one student at the time.
The price for a room with a Spanish family including half board (breakfast and lunch or dinner) will range from 500-600Eur per month. All families charge a plus for washing clothes.

Own Apartment

We can also offer individual studio apartment for students who prefer to live on their own. The studio apartments available are located right in the old centre of Salamanca and apart from the living-bedroom it will have a private bathroom and a small kitchenette with a cooker and fridge.
The price for a studio apartment is from 45Eur to 60Eur per day and individual use.

How to get to Salamanca

In order to get to Salamanca from Madrid, we suggest that you take a bus or train. Prices are very affordable and there are buses leaving almost every hour. If you need more information, please contact us.
We can also provide a private transfer from Madrid Aiport (Barajas) to the Bus Terminal in Madrid. The price is 110 euros and includes the bus ticket from Madrid to Salamanca.
